Khamzat Chimaev is on the verge of his return to action and is filling up his schedule with activities.

After taking time away to recover from a rough bout with COVID-19 following his busy debut year in 2020 that saw him compete three times in just over two months, Chimaev is set to return to action at UFC 267 to face Jingliang Li.

It appears the UFC welterweight is already looking to stay busy following his scheduled matchup. According to a report from Frontkick.online, Chimaev will face fellow Swede and UFC fighter, Jack Hermansson in a freestyle wrestling match at Bulldog Fight Night 9.

The event is set to take place in Gothenburg, Sweden on Nov. 19. The match will be competed at 187 pounds with two three-minute rounds.

The promotion’s Daniel Hogstrom shared a promotional image of the matchup on his Instagram account on Thursday.

The caption on the post asks the question in Swedish, “Who is king on the hill?” Chimaev replied in the comments in the same language, simply stating, “Me.”

Hermansson, a UFC middleweight, was last in action in May, defeating Edmen Shahbazyan via unanimous decision on the main card of UFC Fight Night 188. He currently does not have another UFC bout on the horizon.

Chimaev has been on the sidelines since his one-punch knockout of Gerald Meerschaert in September 2020. He managed to rack up three victories in just over a two-month span following his debut before dealing with the effects of COVID-19.

UFC fighters are not permitted to compete in MMA fights outside of the UFC, however, they are usually permitted to complete in grappling matches.
