Valentina Shevchenko shows off her sixth ruby on her UFC championship belt

UFC women’s flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko got her sixth ruby set in her championship belt and showed it off via Instagram.

Once you win a UFC title, you receive a championship belt. Once you defend your title, instead of handing out a new belt, the fight promotion inlays a ruby signifying how many times a fighter has defended their championship. Shevchenko has six rubies. She earned her sixth ruby with a dominating win over Lauren Murphy at UFC 266 on Sept. 25.

Welterweight champion Kamaru Usman has five rubies. Amanda Nunes has defended her bantamweight crown five times. Check out Shevchenko proudly displaying her new gemstone.
